We are working to protect
our future with clean energy
Welcome to our world of sustainable energy solutions! At Chetna Aastha, we specialize in providing high-quality biomass pellets that revolutionise the way we think about energy consumption. But first, let’s delve into what exactly biomass pellets are and why they’re making waves in the energy sector.
Biomass pellets are compacted organic materials typically derived from renewable resources such as wood, agricultural residues, or even dedicated energy crops. These pellets are formed through a process of compressing raw materials into dense, uniform shapes and ensuring the moisture content is 10–15%, making them highly efficient fuel sources.
On June 16, 2023, the Ministry of Power issued a modification to the biomass policy dated October 8, 2021. The revised policy mandates a 5% biomass co-firing in Thermal Power Plants (TPPs) starting from the fiscal year 2024-25.
Biomass, comprising various organic materials, serves as a key resource for renewable energy and industrial uses. Wood chips, branches, bark, furniture waste, and agricultural residues like corn straw, wheat straw, rice husk, and peanut shells are among the commonly utilised biomass types. These materials offer sustainable alternatives to conventional energy sources, promoting environmental responsibility and resource efficiency.
